What this is/will be

January 5, 2007

This blog is about the teachings of the Pathwork Guide. Most likely, if you found your way here, you know something about the Pathwork. If you don’t, a good place to get oriented is the official site of the International Pathwork Foundation: www.pathwork.org

My intention is to summarize all 258 Pathwork Lectures and to post the summaries here. This project is my own, and is not sponsored, sanctioned or otherwise affiliated with the Foundation. It’s just something that I feel strongly called to do. I know that there are many people for whom the basic concepts of the Pathwork resonate, but for whom the Lectures are verbally overwhelming. I know that summaries can be a good point of access for people who are interested in getting a basic feel of the Pathwork, and that summaries can inspire people to make the effort to read and work with the Lectures. I have also experienced that summaries can be a good tool for reinforcing the content of a Lecture, and that a body of summaries is relatively easy to search for particular concepts.

To those who might ask, who am I to do this, my answer is, “I’m someone who feels the call and is willing to put in the time and effort.” If someone else feels the same way, they’re obviously free to do their own version of what I’m doing. My ego attaches a little bit to this project, but my deeper attitude is that the more (competent) summarizers there were, the better off everyone would be. So yes, I claim that I’m competent to do this, as I’m sure many other people are as well.

As for sharing personal information about me, I judge that it would be irrelevant to the purpose. I’m a Pathworker. I have wonderful light-filled aspects and I have problematic, confused aspects, just like everyone else. The more I work with the Lectures, the more the balance shifts in a favorable direction, but it’s a gradual process. If you’re new to Pathwork and you’re expecting something quick, I doubt you’ll find that here. It takes time, but I’ve found and seen that it also takes us to some very deep and wonderful places, if we’re willing to put the effort in.

So that’s enough introduction. I’m going to start posting Lectures, and sometimes I’ll post my own comments on them. By the end of 2007, there should be at least 150 summaries here. Other than that, we’ll see what happens. My hope is that at least a few people will be served. I know that I will be.

Peace,

Follow your call. God and Christ are free. Not restricted and not for sale. I’m glad to have found a kindred spirit…

    Thank you,

Thank you for your summaries of the lectures – I find them very helpful. It takes me a long time to get through each lecture, as I try to understand and learn how to apply the material. As you mentioned, they are a great tool to reinforce the key concepts and to refer back to on a regular basis. This is a nice place to visit – and much appreciated!
    Be well,

    Ellen
